BSC Bulletin: Extension to planned downtime required for infrastructure maintenance

What is happening?
Further to Elexon Circular EL03354, the period of planned downtime for infrastructure maintenance is over-running from the original end time of 00:00 (BST) on Friday 10 September 2021.

The maintenance is now expected to conclude by latest 02:00 on Friday 10 September 2021. Until this time, BMRS will be processing file backlogs, and once this activity is completed, the indicative Settlement calculations will resume.

How will I be impacted?
Until the planned outage is completed, the indicative System Prices published on BMRS may not be accurate. BMRS will not publish any data received from National Grid ESO or REMIT data from the Elexon Portal. Users of the BMRS APIs, TIBCO and Data Push Service will not receive the latest data set.

Please note that you can continue to submit REMIT data via the Elexon Portal during this downtime. The data will be accepted, queued and sent in sequence; however, as noted above, publication of these files may be delayed by this planned downtime.

Do I need to take any further action?
No action is required. However, if you require more information on this bulletin, please contact the BSC Service Desk.
