BSC Bulletin 308: File Processing Delays Resulting in ECVAA System Failure - RESOLVED
What has happened?
There was an issue between 00:01 (GMT) and 00:57 (GMT) within the BSC Central Services that prevented files from being collected from the external FTP server. This resulted in files not being acknowledged or processed until the issue was resolved. As a result the BSC Central Services suffered an ECVAA System Failure between those times - 00:01 (GMT) to 00:57 (GMT). The system has been restored and is processing files as expected with the root cause currently under investigation.
Do I need to take any further action?
If you believe that this failure has affected you, please follow the steps below:
- Email information regarding relevant Volume Notifications to the BSC Service Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org before the “resubmission deadline”. The email must confirm that you attempted to submit those Volume Notifications, but that you missed the ECVAA Submission Deadline as a result of this failure
- The “resubmission deadline” is 17:00 (BST) on Monday 10 June 2019. If you know that you cannot submit the relevant Volume Notifications in time, please contact the BSC Service Desk before the “resubmission deadline”
