Planned National Grid infrastructure upgrade on Sunday 24 March 2019

What is happening?
National Grid ESO has informed us that there will be an infrastructure upgrade on their systems between 02:10 (GMT) and 02:55 (GMT) on Sunday 24 March 2019. 

During this time Balancing Services Adjustment Data (BSAD), Market Operation Data Interface System (MODIS), Loss of Load Probability (LoLP) and De-rated Margin (DRM) data submissions will be affected.

MODIS sends LoLP, DRM, REMIT  and European Transparency Regulation (ETR)   data from National Grid to the Balancing Mechanism Reporting Service (BMRS). 

How will I be affected? 
During this time, Market Participants will be unable to submit Transparency and REMIT data via FTP or GUI and there will be a delay in receiving acknowledgements.

Market Participants that currently submit their REMIT data via the ELEXON Portal will not be impacted by this scheduled maintenance and BMRS will continue to publish all data as normal.

There will also be a delay in publishing half hour BSAD, LoLP and DRM information. These files will be processed and resubmitted after the systems have returned. 

What do I need to do?
You do not need to take any specific action but please note the impact of the infrastructure upgrade.
