CLOSED: Credit Committee meeting to be held following closure of Credit Assessment Price consultation

A Credit Committee meeting will be held following the closure of the Credit Assessment Price (CAP) consultation, to decide if the Credit Assessment Price should be revised.

This followed a consultation paper on the value of CAP which was issued on Monday 4 March 2019, following a breach of the CAP trigger level. In this paper Parties were invited to indicate whether they agreed with the proposal to decrease the value of CAP to £49/MWh, from its current approved level of £56/MWh.

Not all responses and Credit Committee members were in agreement with the proposed value. Therefore in accordance with the CAP Review Guidance, a Credit Committee meeting will be held in due course.

What happens next?
Following the outcome of this meeting, a further News Item will communicate the new CAP value and its implementation date to industry.
