Increase in the Credit Assessment Price (CAP) to £75/MWh, effective from Friday 28 September 2018

Further to ELEXON News Item, the Credit Committee met on 7 September 2018 to determine the new CAP. It considered the consultation response, as well as the latest October, November and December 2018 forward prices that will be used in the reference price calculation to determine the new value.

On Friday 28 September 2018 the Credit Assessment Price (CAP) value will increase to £75/MWh, from the current value of £59/MWh. Parties may notice a change in their Credit Cover Percentage as a result of the new CAP, and should review the amount of Credit Cover lodged.

The Credit Committee agreed that the CAP review trigger level value should remain unchanged at +/- £6/MWh.
