Defaulting of the Teleswitch file for 4 June 2018

What has happened?
The data files received from the Teleswitch Agent relating to 4 June 2018 contained a number of anomalies in multiple Teleswitch User areas. The files were missing switching instructions for some Teleswitch User Groups. This is due to an outage affecting both monitors for the Droitwich transmitter.

What action has ELEXON taken?
The Supplier Volume Allocation Agent (SVAA), in accordance with BSCP508 ‘Supplier Volume Allocation Agent’, and in agreement with ELEXON, has defaulted the missing Teleswitch files to the most appropriate file for the same day type to run the Daily Profiling Production (DPP). These are the Teleswitch instructions for Settlement Day 1 June 2018.

Will further days be affected?
Further days might be affected. ELEXON will review Teleswitch files once received to assess if a further default is required. If so, we will send a further News Item tomorrow.

Do I need to take further action?
No, however if you have any questions please contact market.operations@elexon.co.uk.
