Fault with National Grid MODIS system today, 3 May 2018
What is happening?
National Grid has informed us they are aware that some Market Participants are unable to send automated European Transparency Regulation (ETR) files to MODIS. Market Participants are receiving a timeout error message when the automated ETR files are being sent. National Grid is investigating this urgently and a further notification will be sent as soon as the issue is resolved.
How will I be impacted?
Users may be unable to submit data via SFTP to MODIS whilst this issue is being resolved and may be unable to login normally via the web application.
Participants who submit REMIT data via the ELEXON Portal will not be impacted and National Grid’s Balancing Mechanism (BM) systems are also be unaffected by this fault.
What do I need to do?
Parties are not required to take any further action but note the potential impact of this fault on ETR file submissions to MODIS.
