Terms of website use

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms of use on which you may make use of our website (www.elexonportal.co.uk) (“Website”), whether as a guest or a registered user. Please read these terms of use carefully before you start to use the Website. By using this Website or BSC Services Desk helpdesk via this Website, you signify that you have read and accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please refrain from using our Website.


Applicability of these Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions do not apply to any BSC Party (as that term is defined in The Balancing and Settlement Code ("Code"). If you are a BSC Party then your use of this Website is governed by the relevant terms in the Code.


Information about us

This Website is operated by ELEXON Limited ("we", “us”, “our”). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 03782949 and have our registered office at 4th Floor, 350 Euston Road, London NW1 3AW.

We are regulated by the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem). 


Accessing this site

Access to our Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our site without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.

From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our Website, or our entire Website, to users who have registered with us.

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

Save for those data items provided pursuant to a P114 Licence Data Agreement, the materials contained on this Website are available to browse and download for the purpose only of the operation or participation in the electricity trading arrangements in Great Britain. 

The data items provided to you on this Website pursuant to a P114 Licence Data Agreement (if any), are subject to the terms and conditions of the particular P114 Licence Data Agreement between us and you as the Licensee.

This Website may contain links to other websites which are independent of us and/or are maintained by third parties. We are not responsible for the content of any third party websites and shall not be liable for damages or injury resulting from the contents of such websites.
